Frequently Asked Questions
If you’re thinking about creating a website for your teaching studio, chances are you have some common questions. This page of Frequently Asked Questions is here to help you learn more about building a website as music instructor and using my tutorials to get it done…easily!
Websites
Q: I already have a website, but don’t have a web designer to update it. Is it possible to move it based on your recommended method, and is this best?
A: Yes, you can move your site according to the methods I show you. Whether this is best depends on your specific needs. For example, you love your site’s design and it’s showing up fine in search engines. But you need to make updates to it and don’t know how. In this case, I would suggest finding a web designer to help you. If you’re not married to your design, then moving it would be best, especially if any of the following apply: A) you’d like your site to show up higher in search engines, B) you don’t mind “controlling” your website yourself if it’s simple enough, C) you don’t want to have to pay someone every time you need an update.
Tutorials
Q: I’ve heard of a lot of different ways people get websites done, why should I follow your tutorials?
A: The methods I show you in the tutorials are truly one of the most simplest and effective ways to design and maintain a website. For instance, there is no code to learn or even touch, or fancy tweaks to worry about for search engines. In fact you don’t even have to worry about which web host to keep your site at. If you can follow steps and use a computer, then you’ll be able to launch or move an existing site quickly and easily.
Q: Will I have to learn a lot? In other words, do your tutorials teach me how to be a web designer?
A: Yes…and No! The beauty of my tutorials is that they’re meant first and foremost to be a guide. Paying attention is optional! You can simply follow them step-by-step, executing each action like a robot. In the end, you’ll have a nice looking site that will be doing it’s job–bringing you students! If you find you want to know more or experiment further with what I’ve introduced you to, then by all means, take the techniques I show you and go to town.
